Andrew Walford, meaning associate
documentation and technical writing
Andrew Walford read English with Information and Communication Media at Lancaster University, graduating in 1994. He has worked in administration, and as a software developer. He is now a technical author, with nearly a decade's experience of creating software manuals, help systems and training courses.
Andrew has written documentation for a wide variety of products, from document management systems to medical administration, for organizations ranging from new start-ups to household names. His technical background provides a solid understanding of the software he writes about.
In 2002, Andrew formed his own company, Document, to focus on producing friendly and effective end-user documentation for software products. He believes technology doesn't have to be hard to use, that good documentation is a key part of software usability, and that documentation should be led by tasks rather than technology.
