Bill Pegram, meaning associate

Bill Pegram’s career began in advertising in the mid 1960’s then as a quantitative and qualitative researcher at RBL, the agency which became Research International. In 1982, with two colleagues, Bill left RI to found the research agency Pegram Walters Associates. PWA quickly grew to become one of the UK’s leading independent consultancies and in 2001 , was acquired by Aegis plc as their first European acquisition in what was to become Synovate. Bill was appointed Corporate Development Director for Western Europe and over five years, completed 16 acquisitions for Synovate across the region.
In 2006 Bill left Synovate to create Bill Pegram & Co, a consultancy which allows Bill to operate on a broader geographic canvas. He advises research companies on strategy, including merger and acquisition, development and recruitment. Bill has a particular interest in cultural due diligence.
Elected a Fellow of The Market Research Society in 1998, Bill has served as a Council Member of several professional associations is a regular speaks at conferences and lecturer on MRS education programmes.
